I think Denver might have the best gluten-free options of any city. There was a delicious restaurant that had gluten-free cuban sandwiches that were amazing. The bread was cuban-style, not just regular white bread or a bun. It was perfect, and I’d get a side of plantain chips. It’s one of the meals that I’ve missed since moving to Tucson.Read More
A few years ago Nice Cream took the Pinterest world by storm when people realized they could make “ice cream” with frozen bananas! It was simple, only required 2 or 3 healthy ingredients, it is naturally vegan and paleo and dairy-free and all the things. I even made it for my best friend’s toddler one time when they were visiting. I thought he’d be so stoked to make his own ice cream! As it turns out, I just traumatized him with my loud food processor. But in the end I did win him over with some delicious banana nice cream.Read More

I’ve been working through some difficult things, so I appreciate the time away. But I’m feeling more and more like myself again, or perhaps like my new self, so I’m emerging a bit more. I was eager to get back to this space and feel inspired again.

It’s also easy to freeze for later. But, I also love ham salad, and it’s seriously perfect for meal prep and packing into lunch boxes.Read More
Hi friends! It’s been a while. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I’ve taken a step back for a moment. I’ve been going through some really difficult personal stuff recently and trying to just take care of myself and do what’s best for me. While I love sharing delicious food with you in this space, it does require emotional output. I’ve felt so torn because I want to be here with you, but I just didn’t feel like I had the emotional bandwidth to focus on this right now.Read More
I can’t remember how I got inspired to make this recipe, I think I just wanted another way to use kimchi. But it doesn’t really matter, because I’m just super thrilled that I made it. These little meatballs are delicious! They’ve got a bit of tang from the kimchi, umami from the porcini mushrooms, and just lots of deliciousness.Read More
