I never used to really spice my burgers, I'd just form the beef into patties, and fry them up. I let the juicy, high-quality beef speak for itself. While that was far from terrible, this spice mix knocks burgers out of the park. Since I can't have cheese, or much of a bun, piling all sorts of flavors and textures and toppings onto my burgers has become my go-to. The more loaded, the better. This spice mix makes the meat itself one of the flavors, instead of just a vehicles for my avocado and bacon.
This blend uses my favorite secret weapon- smoked paprika. It gives the burgers a great smoky flavor, even if you don't have a grill to cook these up on. Even though it's called burger spice, this mix is yummy on all sorts of meats and veggies. It'll stay good in your pantry for several months.
- Add all ingredients to a small bowl, and whisk to combine.
