It’s that time of year when all of us last minute shoppers are scrambling around for the best gifts that we can find. I mean…not that I know anything about that. Well this year I’ve got a gift guide chock full of lovely gifts I think nearly anyone would love to receive, from travelers to foodies to gifts that give back, I hope this makes your annual shopping a bit easier. Since I live in Denver, I decided that it was time to put together a Foodie Travel post for this great city! The ironic part is that I cook so much, I never feel like I know where to go out to eat. This means that my husband and I tend to frequent the same places over and over. Buuuut, when it got down to it, and I started making a list, I realized there are some really amazing places here, and you should visit them on your next trip.
Denver is a great city to visit year round. The winter is fairly mild, but of course all the winter sports enthusiasts will be happy to head up to the mountains for skiing and snow boarding. But in rest of the year, Denver has some super fun neighborhoods to wander around, and some amazing hiking is just a short drive away.Read More

It's no secret, I love Tucson. I think it is tucked away in the very southwestern corner of the US away from view, so it's often missed. But, if you love food and sunshine, it is WELL worth a trip! While Arizona summers often get a bad rap, I really think it's gorgeous year round. Ok, maybe not August...but where is it nice in August?Read More
Just over a week ago, I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Slow Food Nations festival held in Denver! I was so excited. This is the type of thing I totally geek out about.
We started the day at the beautiful farmer's market situated just outside the gorgeous Union Station in downtown. It featured products from all over the Denver/Colorado area, as well as cooking demonstrations. Inside the building were speakers, panels, and discussions on everything from food policy to beer pairings.
